Lifestyles of the Rich and Religious

"Lifestyles of the Rich and Religious" is the finest ongoing effort in the world in the field of Investigative Cartooning. Of course, it’s the only example in the world of Investigative Cartooning. Each month we comb through our vast archives of rich Christians, searching for the perfect . . . well, searching for the one who deserves . . . uh . . . searching for the one who’s easy to find, and then we subject him or her to the triple whammy of private eye Pete Evans, who puts together the facts and gathers the incriminating photos; drive-in journalist Joe Bob Briggs, who hangs around the outskirts of aforesaid Christian’s vast estate and writes about it; and cartoonist Jim Siergey, who brings this journalistic gospel to life with his fine brush strokes, as he complains loudly about how Pete and Joe Bob expect miracles of penmanship by forcing him to cram in thousands of words of copy. Herewith, everything you probably didn’t want to know about Kenneth Copeland, multi-millionaire preaching czar of Newark, Texas.

Well if Hagee did say that about Jesus, he must be right. We all know he was right about Harry Potter.

One thing that is not talked about is how people DONATE money to ministries that get these preachers, and teachers, on the air so that they can make money off of selling books or other things. They did NOT buy air time with their OWN money to promote themselves. They got airtime by the little people DONATING their hard earned money to give "so and so" a platform so he can sell his wares. Does anyone really believe you would buy dittle from Copeland, or any other preacher, if you didn't see the famous person on TV or hear them on radio?? So yes, I do think the ethical thing to do would be to give the proceeds from anything they sold back into the ministry. After all it was the ministry, and DONATED money, that made them famous. If they want to spend THEIR OWN millions for air time let them do it. Then it will be no one's business.

The real problem is that most preachers and teachers are pushing themselves and an agenda rather then the Gospel. They want to be more famous then Jesus Christ. I doubt that God is pleased with that. Jesus has become a big business nowdays, or at least in America it is.

Unbelieveable....there are folks out there sending these creeps money to bad they could not complete their act by dressing in sackcloth instead of $2,000.00 suits, dyed hair and plastic surgery that could scare the devil itself.
WHEN will those who call themselves Christians wake up and support worthy causes not these bunch of crooks, OH judgement day will it be like the gong show but GODS not laughing. How do you get the message through that these people are phoneys not for GOD by for self.

Is Jesus and his message so weak, he needs countles tv peachers and at least five channels on DirectTV to get his message out?

Tyrone Heydenrych | 04:21 am on 11/14/2007

Interesting and sometimes acid comments, and with good reason.
Interesting statistic as well: if all Christians tithed, as they are supposed to, and the church at large used those tithes responsibly, there would be no extreme poverty or hunger in the world.
Want proof? Check out Gospel for Asia and what they do in India, Nepal, Myanmar and South East Asia with the little money they receive in donor funds. And none of the board members is rich.
And then hold them up against Brothers Copeland, Hinn, Dollar, et al. I think you might just need Joyce Meyer's $23 000.00 commode!

I oppose excess of all kinds, not just for ministers. But too often, this argument starts to sound soooo much like, "Couldn't that plane be sold and the money used to help the poor?" Sounds familar.

Hello JD Brox:
You said, "I hope my brothers and sisters in Christ would open their eyes and see how the enemy is using things like this to conquer and divide us all.)"

I just don't get how you can think this is the fault of the sheeple! Since it is the flock that is donating their money, and it's being used wrongly, what are we supposed to do, just turn our heads and ignore it?

The fault lies with the so-called pastors!! Wake up!

Here’s How! – KCM's Faith-only doctrine is untrue. However, works-only doctrine is also untrue. But as the bible implies, Faith plus works gives opportunity for Jesus to manifest in our lives. Observe how faith-heavy ministries solve their doctrinal problem. When they increase faith in their sheep, the sheep must concurrently increase their works because the twin forces operate integrally. If you fail to teach how to manifest Jesus in good works, then you create an unfulfilled force. So the faith-heavy ministries fill this void they create. They exhort the sheep to (a) give until it hurts (Scott, et al) or (b) give-to-get (KCM, et al.) Restated: Simply pervert the natural way of worshipping God in spirit and truth by directing works (i.e. sacrificial giving of one’s life) to themselves as donations for economic gain, only don’t call it such. It simply fills in the doctrinal void created in their followers by their unbalanced emphasis on faith. In this fashion, the success of heavy-on-faith ministries disproves faith without works while proving anyone can be duplicitous. It’s a neat trick: Preach followers to increase “faith” while deemphasizing “works;” only to get them to “give the works” back to you. The only losers are Jesus and His sheep, who aren't able to manifest in each other. But the faith ministries are happy with their doctrines that result in such great incomes. As Frank Sinatra sang the George Gershwin tune, “Nice work if you can get it, and if you get it –won’t you tell me how?”

Anonymous | 04:36 pm on 1/24/2008

My husband and I gave faithful to KCM, starting in 1987. I kept looking for that blessing in Malachi. After many years, I began to wonder, what are we doing wrong.....After searching the scriptures, I am finding out that the tithe to be brought into the storehouse, was the third year tithe....which was a feast for everyone.......including the poor, widows and orphans...these tithes, were actually feasts, where everyone came to fellowship and eat together....Actually, the tithes were first fruits from crops, sheep, cattle etc....if the place was too far for them to travel, they were to sell the tithe and convert it to money, go to the place where GOD chose to put his name....which was Jerusalem, and there they could buy whatever they desired, and eat it before the Lord God and rejoice for all that God had blessed them with. They were also to share it with the levite.....Where did the tithe of a tenth of our income come from? Who knows....however, I am finding that I should give out of love for the Lord, and not to get. The Lord Jesus said: "All things are possible to him who believes.....". We have a way to go on the tithes and offerings...we need to read the bible for ourselves. Paul did say those who preach the gospel, the Lord has commanded, they should also live by the gospel.....but I find he never mentioned the tithe...we should give cheerfully.......not because we are threathned if we don't.....besides, I believe when you are born again, God puts it into your heart to give.....especially to the poor and needy....and also to the ones who labor in the word...the preachers....even though, we labor ourselves.....Paul also said if we " Gentiles " profit spiritually from the Jews preaching, that the gentiles should give of their material things to mention of the tithe there either....

It really grieves me that so many of these posts are from so called "ministers" of the gospel who are bitter over the fact that they are low paid comparitively speaking or have had to "suffer all kinds of trials" for the sake of that calling. It goes to show that maybe there are many in the "ministry" today that didn't count the cost before entering such a noble "calling". The sad thing is that most Christians today have the false notion that God is some kind of magic wand or santa clause to take all their troubles away. The real truth is that most "Christians" today have an entitlement mentality and fail to see themselves as lost and under the wrath of an awesome holy and omnipotent God who doesn't owe us a thing but has freely paid our penalty on the cross. Not because he was "lonely" or we are "special" and we are entitled to his grace. It is time we return to the "gospel" of grace instead of following the gospel of greed.

Have any of you people heard the line, "You can't cheat an honest man"?

The reason you can't cheat an honest man or women, or scam a person that is of pure intent, is that they have died to their own selfish ego and fleshly lust. They don't fall for the prosperity lie of getting something, ie salvation, money, new car, etc. by just bowing their head, writing a check, or raising their hand.

I actually think that televangelists are doing a good service showing the real problem is not them, but the people who give them their power. We need to quit pointing the finger at Benny Hinn, Copeland, and others and start holding the followers of those in power responsible for their own actions.

We have met the enemy and it is us. Or as it is written, we need to take the log out of our own eye first. Just think, If the average guy on the street was healed of his own lust, the donations to these "ministries would stop in a second.

As the scripture says, "The gospel is to them that are perishing foolishness but unto us that are saved it is the power of God", What you call dishonest might just be GOD's spirit and because you don't have the spirit it's foolishness to you. Remember in ACTS when the heathen said the christians were drunk ? That was actually the spirit of God in them.

Why doesn't this article mention anything about the jets Kenneth Copeland gives away? The MILLIONS of dollars worth of stuff his ministry gives to people in prison? The people healed at his services,I seen it with my OWN eyes.Elderly women getting out of wheelchairs a little boy about 4 years old came into the service with a walker left without one.I SEEN THIS!!!I freely give money to these ministries, not to recieve back but to give what I can to God's kingdom and I am BLESSED!! Thank God for true disciples like Kenneth Copeland.

I respect everyone's opinion but all I can say is that what Kenneth Copeland and Creflo dollar teach works ! The proof is in the pudding. I live it and it works !! I give money and I have money, it's not magic, jesus said it. But that's not the real problem, the problem is this CRITICAL, JUDGEMENTAL spirit that most people have and that I also had at one point. I thought these guys were loonies like you do. I was wrong to judge and I've repented and God is blessing my socks off !! If you don't want them to have money DON'T GIVE but scripturally what they are saying is true. I guess SOLOMON,JOB,ABRAHAM and many others were just EXCESSIVE SINNERS and all this time I thought they were Gods people !! Quit judging !! and by the way, no offense, but if you are giving and aren't expecting God to fulfil what his word said about giving("Give and it shall be given good measure....")that's pretty stupid !!

The teachings of the Word of Faith ministers works the same way the teachings of Deepak Chopra and the "Secret" work. It causes the supplicant to focus on long held goals and ambitions. The heightened focus makes the mind of the supplicant keen to any and every opportunity to complete the "vision." If the dream was to start a business, by setting a goal, the wonderful mind we all have sets about to bring about the goal. The old adage is "if there's a will there is a way." If you put a mystical meaning to it, it would be called the "Law of Attraction" as it is in the teachings of Deepak Chopra and "the teachers of "The Secret." In fact, the teachings of Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Leroy Thompson, Avanzinni, are remarkably similar to the teachings of Deepak, Lee Brower, Jack Canfield, Michael Beckwith, Maharashi Yogi and a host of followers of eastern mysticism.

The word of faith teachers mix a Hinduism and eastern mysticism with a preponderance of Christianity. The "Law of Attraction" folk mix Christianity with a preponderance of Hinduism and eastern mysticism. Both package this mix in very attractive garments and present it to the western world as either the word of God or the secret of the universe. They are, however, one in the same. They both give some spiritual justification for setting goals and focusing on dreams and ambitions. Both are hybrid religions, neither Christianity nor Hinduism. Neither have true scripture to lean on only distorted version of the Bible and other writings. Whereas both Hinduism and Christianity give comfort to millions including those in extreme poverty, neither word of faith no Law of Attraction can be offered to the extreme poor with any comfort. They are both designed to appeal to Western greed. Please take the Word of Faith doctrine or the Law of Attraction to Darfur or Calcutta or Sudan or San Paulo.

It is not Christianity and it "dumbs down" the message of Christ. Do I think that Kenneth Copeland is a messenger of Satan. I don't know. I don't think so but the message of the faith teachers and the "Attraction" teachers draws the hearers not to God but to themselves. They imply that the faith in and of itself is supreme for it is the "substance used by God to create all things." They teach that we are all little gods, in our own right, who have the prerogative to call the shots regarding our existence. Is that of the true God or of a false god?

its own right

I have spent the last seven years totally submerged in the ministries that teach health, wealth, healing ect. and I just thought of my $20 a month as a sort of payment for all the free learning material I received or took from the net. Speaking generally, Americans, as a people, have never been known for their humility so it is not suprising that the Biggest, Richest, most Powerful Ministries would originate in the States and that their leaders would be proud to be the Biggest, Richest, and most Powerful to the world for God. Hence their political agenda.
I totally agree that there is a lust for money and power and that they are blind to the life that Jesus taught us. When a person doesn't get out of debt and prosper or doesn't get healed it's because of their own failing because God can't fail. Talk about making the burden of others heavy. I heard Kenneth Copeland one time on a tape say that he would never ask any man for money but every piece of material including his web site has a request for money. I have heard of every rationalization for what these people do in the name of the Lord. The sell is: 'You can be rich like us if you do what we did' Helloooooo! I could be rich like Bill Gates if I did what he did or a great authour or surgeon ect. It's smoke and mirrors and the rubes buy into it because rubes have always been desparate and poor. At any given time all of us have and will be desparate and vulnerable. The Copelands' have always urged people to read their bibles and that is where the buck stops for me.

Anonymous | 02:25 pm on 2/20/2008

I would like to take the time to clear up a few things about prosperity. To preempt my message, I am not referring to any one preacher/teacher. I am strictly referring to God and the way he does things.

1.God is rich. The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof, the world and they that dwell therein. The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just. If God wants to give anyone money, cars, house, airplanes, land etc., it is HIS! He can do with it what He wills. God will take something from the wicked and make sure His children have it...again, If HE WILLS.

2.Satan is rich. Luke 4:6-7 says Satan told Jesus he would give him power and glory, for it is GIVEN to him. There are some riches that were given to Satan at the fall of man. Sometimes, expecially in the times we are in now, it may be hard to tell. But believe me, when Jesus returns, ALL WILL KNOW! Whatever is not of God - WILL BURN IN THE FIRE!

3.Prosperity does not always include things. Prosperity is a state of living. It is our duty first to be content with what we have in the state that we are in. If you are on welfare, be content with that until you grow out of it. If you are rich, be content with that until God teaches you what to do with your riches. If you are in the middle, be content with that. Godliness with contentment is great gain. God is more concerned with our godliness than with our pockets.

4. You can not stop God from blessing someone. In order for Him to do that HE MUST USE PEOPLE. HOWEVER, God does give everyone common sense and His Spirit to determine when enough is enough. One thing God taught me is this: You do not have to attend every party you are invited to. In other words, just because someone tries to give you something, that does not mean you have to take it. That is why we have to use SELF CONTROL. It is wonderful to be blessed, but definitely not at another persons expense, ignorance or blind generosity. Good intentions are not always God intentions.

I believe, in some way, that all this 'exposing' of rich Christian leaders is God's way of dealing with His people. I believe we (as a body) need to get back to the basics of Christianity, which is: BEING CONFORMED TO THE IMAGE OF HIS SON, JESUS. No, it is not just giving to the poor. No it is not just loving your fellow man. Will God still bless, YES! But the first priority is our mind and souls being transformed to reflect Jesus.

Now, if you have a problem giving to the church (or your home church) pray. Ask God for wisdom on how to give your money. God will honor you when you want to do the right thing. You should always tithe (give 10%), that is standard. But use wisdom when you want to give more. Don't let a preacher, teacher, prophet or anyone else stop your blessing.

Is everyone to be trusted..NO! And believe me, God will SPANK His children, even if He has to shut down churches and allow businesses to become bankrupt. I just encourage you to do the right thing and God will take of you.

Anonymous | 07:27 am on 3/27/2008

Wow......Many are blinded and only go to churches to hear what they want to hear...they don't want to hear the Truth!
We are told we are just passing through down here...heaven is our home....and why would anyone who says they are of the Lord want to build up their riches here on earth where all passes away and decays. What good are earthly possessions? We are to reach out to help the poor the needy the less fortunate. We are to go to the highways, byways and help our brothers and sisters.
It is horrible beyond words to see people such as Copeland's living like they do. Did not Jesus walk among the lowest and the poorest and the needy. Did He not turn the tables over in anger...and said "you are turning my house into a den of thieves"?

What blinded fools that think that the squandering of money and people such as the Copeland's have anything to do with God. They know NOT the God I love and Serve. They will have to answer for all of their doings. They will be judged by God. We all will.
America is so caught up in material things and lifestyles....when there are hurting and dying people that need our prayers and our help.
God help us all that if we find this way of living is of God. When it is so clearly orhestrated by the deceiver.

One last thought here....years ago I saw a video tape of Kenneth Copeland in his "church" on stage supposebly talking in tounges and he was laughing and playing games as if he were talking in tounges to amuse. Oh to blashempy the Holy Spirit in such a way, it broke my heart and made me cringe to think a man who calls himself a "man of God" would mock God and His Holy Spirit in such a way. Right there and then I said that is NOT a man of God.

As many others have wrote very good comments on here I want to again say what they have said......WAKE UP, WAKE UP....YOU ARE BLINDED AND DECEIVED. ASK GOD TO REVEAL THE TRUTH TO YOU.

For A Look at how 1st century Christians lived (in this case great-nephews of Jesus, who you may have heard of..), try Eusebius' Church History, book 5, chapter 20. It tells of the emperor Domitian hunting down descendants of David for the same anxiety Herod had. He finds two dirt farmers. Plowmen. 39 acres, no cash.
Where is the Kingdom, the emperor demands? It's a spiritual kingdom, at the end of the world, when He comes back, they say. Where's the treasure? it's in that 39 acres they farm to pay taxes and support themselves. They show him their hands! Not white collar or leisure types. No riches, no prosperity. Regular subsistence farmers, like 99% of everybody then. Interesting how health/wealth christianity didn't occur to the earliest ones....THe original Christian message just doesn't get air time.

… then hear from heaven and act. Judge between your servants, repaying the guilty by bringing down on his own head what he has done. Declare the innocent not guilty and so establish his innocence. 2 Chronicles 6:23

Psalm 35:27
Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Proverbs 8:18
With me are riches and honor, enduring wealth and prosperity.

Proverbs 13:21
Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.

2 Corinthians 9:11
You will be made rich in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.

2 Corinthians 8:9
For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

Psalm 112:3
Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever

Matthew 19:23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.

24Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”

25When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

hey boycottTBN,

Thanks for the financial can i be so holy like you and cut my credit cards and not tithe b/c its old testament?? Please show me the way.....b/c the way you judge with your words on here, you must certainly be without sin...or without a job cuz you have so much time to argue and point fingers on here...maybe if you start tithing....God will open the doors for your closed minded life and bless you with one! :)

BoycottTBN | 08:42 am on 6/18/2008

Hi BHRocks,
I have a very good job, that just gave me a raise and promotion last year AFTER I quit tithing!

Like I said, go to and see for yourself, based on scripture, that tithing is Old Testament Law, Jesus fulfilled ALL OF THE LAW, and tithing was never MONEY, it was animals, spices, wheat, grain, etc. given by the farmers. Also, it was never the FIRST animal it was ALWAYS the 10th animal that went under the rod.....whether he was "perfect" or not!!

Benny Hinn is a con artist who has been exposed so many times it is pitiful. He "preys" (not prays) on people's desperation. Go to and type in Benny Hinn and see for yourself....and they have DVD's on this website, "The Many Faces of Benny Hinn," that will blow your mind. See if you can get through it without crying.

I was just like you....I believed everything my pastor taught, and would not dare question it. Then a friend showed me some of the things I refused to watch. We are brainwashed to NOT watch the news because it's "liberal." That may be true, but the media also exposed these pimps. I watched with my friend mainly so I could prove her wrong, but I was the one who was decieved. It is all about greed and money.

Is it worth your soul to worship Benny Hinn? The truth will set you free!

Go your favorite pastor with "false teacher" attached to it. For example "benny hinn false teacher" and see all the mess on him and the other pimps.

Don't you owe it to yourself to know the truth? Do you think Jesus wants you to be deceived?

Listen up,God is pissed and he's coming to cleanse his temple and by the way that's anyone who is truly born again of the spirit and water.Look he did it to the temple in Jersusalem when he was here beacuse of what the religious leaders of the day were doing. Now we are the temple of the Holy Spirit and the same garbage is going on again today.God is coming to do business better get ready.Humility before the Lord is the place to start, the problem is the condition of our hearts and nothing else.A broken heart and a contrite spirit the Lord will not refuse. The majority of these religious leaders today don't cate one iota about the condition of your heart, they care about the condition of their bank account period!God cares about the condition of your heart and only he can change that if you ask him to.This is what I sens ethe Lord saying to me these days.Humble your self before me,if you don;t I will humble you beacuse I love you and do not wish to see you stay where you are.God's heart is to conform us to the image of his son JESUS and I beleive he will do that as long as we will ask him to and keep our hearts open to him.

Ken Copeland, Creflo Dollar and the rest of the twenty million dollar $20,000,000 jet owners are spending up to $4,000 an hour or peoples offering money just to fly to less than 12 meetings a year.

That's averaging $32,000 per round trip air fare on any flight plus the Twenty million dollars to purchase, and the millions of dollars for crew, maintenance, insurance, landing fees, inspection fees, and storage. Copeland was proven to use the mnistry jet(one of over six jets he has) for personal use to fly to ski areas, hunting ranches, and island resorts.

This is absolutely huge waste terrible management STEWARDSHIP of Gods money, so they can live in luxury.
A commercial flight to twelve destinations would cost them less than #12,000 a year.
He spends more than a half million dollars a year just on jet fuel to fly to the 12 destinations, along with the twenty million plus dollars of offering money to buy and fly this flying luxury liner.

All the while stupid people give Gods money to this bad polluted ground he calls a ministry. Very few people receive Christ or any other thing from Copelands ministry.
In the meantime millions of souls go daily into a dark eternity all because of Copeland, Creflo and others hoard up Gods offering money and SPEND IT ON STATUST SYMBOLS. They give it back to the devil buying Rolex watches, airplanes, Rolls Royces, Mercededs, six Harley Davidson motorcycles, 20,000 sqauare foot mansions and $5,000 suits.

Jesus said it best in Luke 16.

"He that is not faithful in the least (money, mammon), will not be faithful in much (the things of God).
Bad stewards are not good investments to give money to.
They spend most of it on their high lifestyle while millions could have been reached with the Good News Gospel and Gods love.

Those who give to these people and NEVER GET ANY AUDITED FINANCIAL STATEMENT OF PROOF OF SPENDING are just as guilty as they are of BAD STEWARDSHIP. They are bad stewards of Gods money entrusted and blessed into their hands to give to GOOD STEWARDS with GOOD RESULTS not greed lovers of self centered status symbols.

Let's have a little perspective. I work for a ministry that supports the persecuted church around the world. Where is THEIR Citation X? Where is there mansion? They are willing to die for their faith, LITERALLY, and it often is a great likelihood. Are you telling me they don't have enough faith?

A wise man once said that if a Biblical doctrine can't apply everywhere it is not true. I love this country with all of it's varied opportunities, financially and other, but some US Christians need to take the blinders off their eyes and see God is not a Las Vegas slot machine.

For the pastor wrote a book that sold over 30 million copies! He gave back every dollar of salary the church had paid him for the preceding 23 years, does not now take a salary, and tithes 90% of his income. He made a point to be up front about it because he does not want people to think he is "in it for the money". I know him well. Still drives a 5 year old GM SUV, wife drives an Acura SUV. He lives in the same tract home he has lived in for over 15 years, doesn't have a jet, no $2k suits, etc. Leads a movement to try and do something about the poor in Africa. Some may not like his methods but you can't argue with the financial integrity. Wish we could say the same about "prosperity teachers".

Not a blasted thing wrong with financial wealth. But when it becomes a means to an end and that is what a ministry focuses on program after program......especially you gaining financial wealth by seeding your money to THEM, not only is it just plain nuts but the focus of the Gospel.....salvation through faith in the substitutionary death of Jesus Christ on the cross to pay for our sins, is relegated to second place at best, well.....something is wayyyyyy out of whack!

Prosperity indeed! Our "prosperity" is that Jesus died to PAY for OUR sin DEBT.

It seems we all want to sit around God's table but we don't want to work in his fields. We fixate on the abundance of his blessing when it's not the most important thing. To get the word out that people don't have to go to hell is the real message. Jesus didn't save us so we could be nice people and live nice lives and have "stuff". God forgive me...sometimes I treat God like an ATM. God....forgive us all.

Brother Mo | 11:06 am on 7/02/2008

When God judges a nation it is usually characterized by a lack of prophets.."the people are destroyed by a lack of knowledge" Hosea.
It becomes even more tragic when the top kahunna in the land can justify indiscriminate murder on thousands in the middle east because he was watched too many cowboy leased Reagan got it out of his system.
When the top money selling authors are Olsteenites we are in deep trouble. The right is getting nervous that a concensus building black man might get the nod..hope is audacious..medicine is nasty..but maybe these Disunified States need to be Obamatized.
God has a great sense of humour..if all else fails he may resurrect Balaam's Ass for a lecture tour..maybe then the money lobbyists will see the light or smell the cow dung.

It appears that most folks who are biblically iliterate and hate the way any minister live because they choose not to live up to Yahweh's standards and principles, and living in misery. It is funny how we applaud athletes and celebrities with their wealth but will crucify believers in Yeshua doing the same thing but using their wealth for the Kingdom.

pigseye | 04:09 pm on 7/28/2008

Dear derrick half whitt,
You call us biblically illiterate? Are you comparing jocks & rock stars to preachers? You self absorbed, misguided, blow hard.
Rock Stars are supposed to be filthy rich, and Jocks most of whom can't spell their name twice in a row correctly are fortunate they are rich now because most of them are on the wide road to destuction. This is their reward. Jesus, the 12 apostles, and ,oh yeah about 90% of the worlds Christians are looking for a reward in heaven. Then there are you who forget that its easier for a camel to go thru the eye of needle. Who forget that whoever loves this world is at enmity with God. Who forget " woe to you who heap up wealth to yourselves in the last days". Who forget "don't store up treasure for yourself on Earth where moth and rust destroy, but store up treasure in heaven". If you think "using their wealth for the kingdom", includes 21 cars, 7 motorcycles, several planes & jets, you may be right ... the Copeland Kingdom.
If any of these prosperity heresy preachers were to preach that crap
in say Darfor or libya, or indonisia, or any other muslim or commie dominated country they would be laughed off the stage. In most countries our poor brothers lose everything "AFTER" they are saved.. because they are saved. Several are beaten and killed. Go preach this fluff bull s..t to them. Get a grip, you are living in Laodicia. For more go to

The thing is Kenneth and Gloria Copeland are devils!, for years ( 25 )I believed their false doctrine and gave thousands of dollars because they twist the scriptures and make you think that you are supposed to tithe and sow seeds ( money) into their church! or you just wont recieve from God! They are liars! Thank God He in His mercy delivered me from the grips of that devil's ministry! I sought the Truth not things and God set me free from them! I was in that bondage! and never got any better, I didnt become more prosperous! We lost our butts!!!! and made him rich! I pray for them each day that they will repent and truely be saved.

Judy | 03:51 pm on 8/13/2008

Hi Claudia,
I did the same thing at Hagee's church! It's a racket, and a sham....these pimps are nothing but snake oil salesmen! Be thankful that God woke you up, many souls are so asleep and in a delusion they can't see the truth right in front of them.

AC | 07:49 am on 8/15/2008

I agree with many of you in many areas...however I have yet to see where anyone in any ministry preaches about the "Tax-Exempt" on the coin that Jesus told Peter to go get out of the fish's mouth so they could pay their taxes to the Roman Government!
Just a thought (smile)
Another thought...if we are partners ...then how come when I send invitations to "send 5, 10, 25, 50 or a 1000 dollars" I don't get it ?? but I don't get the interest back on the 'increase of their ministries' but I'm a partner?? I'm told my reward will come when I get to heaven because I have partnered with them with my money. Does that mean that they will get ZILCH in heaven and will be the poverty stricken ones??? Hmmmm (smile)
There are too many inconsistancies with this whole issue...way too many and way too many higher-ups on the World Stage that has their hands in the pockets so much so that even the White House candidates wanting to "wine, dine, dance, and crawl in bed with the "religious well-knowns" to get their votes and the votes of their millions they have to do with (have donating"...and it all will be put as if Jesus wants them to vote for that person!
So many other thoughts..but I'll let this be for now!
Seriously these people really have a great need for prayer..they really do!! So do the Sheep they are fleecing!

Faith is a substance possessed by only God and the human race. God has given to every man the measure of faith.

Faith is a substance that satan does not have.

Satan is the accuser of the brethren and he DOES need your help.
Satan gives many thoughts and desires but only a human can make it happen. Think about it... if satan had the power to kill, we would probably all be dead by now.

When God calls something that is not as though it were, it is not a lie because at that moment, it comes into existence. Satan said, "I will be like God" and he too began to call things that are not as though they were. However, his words fall flat because satan does not have the creative substance that God shared with the entire human race. Satan NEEDS human beings to listen to his desires and then use their faith to create it for him.

God told Moses to speak to the rock and water would come forth from it. Moses, however, listened to a different voice, and in great anger, STRUCK the rock - and water came forth. Moses used his faith substance to "work a miracle" but in a way that greatly displeased God and God punished him for it.

Many people in this world have discovered the key to using this supernatural substance that God has shared with the human race. Some are Christians and many are not.

Jesus said "For truly I say to you, That whoever shall say to this mountain, Be you removed, and be you cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he said shall come to pass; he shall have whatever he said.

The above quote from Jesus is exactly 100% of the Kenneth Copeland doctrine.

Jesus didn't say, "if you are a Christian..."
Jesus didn't say, "if you believe in God..."
Jesus didn't say, "if you use your faith in a righteous way..."

Jesus said "whosoever shall say... and NOT DOUBT... shall have whatsoever..."

This includes airplanes, mansions, sports cars, motorcycles, TV stations, you name it (and claim it...)

The KC doctrine DOES work, exactly as Jesus said. However, pity the millions who have discovered this amazing supernatural substance and are using it to fulfill their every selfish wish.

1Timothy, chapter 6 speaks all about the love of money. Verse 5, "and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of truth and who think that godliness is a means to fnancial gain." Verse 17, "Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment." That verse right there says that the rich are arrogant. If money is so virtuous then why is the love of it the root of all evil? James 2:1-13 deals with favoritism towards the rich. James 2:5, "Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him?" James 5:6-7, "But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of of him to whom you belong?" It is amazing how many scriptures are omitted and ignored by those who are sold out to the prosperity lie. Scriptures give us no guarantees for wealth. We are not even guaranteed tomorrow, let alone wealth. 2Peter, chapter 2 tells all about false teachers and their methods. 2Peter 2:3,"In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories they have made up. Their condemnaton has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping." The bible always describes false teachers as greedy. This is how we will know them by their fruits. Even the Pharisees did good deeds and gave to the poor out of their abundance, yet Jesus called them a brood of vipers. Matthew 7:21-23 makes so clear that these false teachers with all their signs and miracles will be damned to hell. If scripture even forbids us to bid Godspeed to a false teacher, how much more will those who give to them be held accountable. 2Peter 2:17 says that blackest darkess is reserved for them. Notice that this is not talking about godless heathens. It is talking about false teachers in the church. 2Corinthians 11:13-15 talks about Satan and his servants masquerading as angels of light, so they are not going to be too obvious or else they would not be able to deceive anyone. How can any that think they follow Christ totally ignore his own words? Jesus warned us in Matthew 24:24 that in the last days there would be many false prophets and teachers. Ephesians 5:11 tells us not partake in the deeds of darkness but rather expose them. So we know who truly loves God by how much of His word they know. Those who are ignorant do not know God, and God does not know them. There will be no strangers in His kingdom. I came out of this prosprerity deception myself. It is very divisive and places false guilt on those who are poor as not spiritual or lacking faith. So really what these false teachers are teaching is that prosperity equals spirituality. These false teachers are the modern Pharisees that were devourers of widow's houses. We know where rich oppressors end up as in Jesus' parable of the rich man and Lazarus. To support these charlatans is to support rich oppressors. Sodom was one of the most prosperous cities that ever was, as well as the most wicked, and look how they ended up. God has made an example out of them as a warning of judgment for us. Oh yeah, as far as judgment goes read 1Corinthians 5:12. That says we are to judge those inside. 1Corinthians 6:2 says that the saints will judge the world. 1Corinthians 6:3 says the saints will even judge angels. What Jesus was talking about when speaking of judgment was hypocritical judgment. Many other places he spoke of making righteous judgment. Righteous judgment is easy to make. All you do is judge by scripture, and those who do not line up are not of God, plain and simple. Remember that Jesus also said not to cast your pearls among swine. Well don't you have to judge who is swine from who isn't in order to obey his words? This proves the ignorance of those who bring up the "don't judge" issue. Christ's sheep know his voice and do not follow that of a stranger. Those who are easily deceived do not know Christ because they easily follow the voice of a stranger. It is time for those who swallow these lies to wake up or else they will be in for an awful rude awakening. Jesus warned what would happen to wicked servants and hypocrites in Matthew 24:51.

Since Gods Word, the Bible,is the final authority(in the life of a believer)God said: 3rd John 2: "Beloved ,I wish above all things that though may prosper and be in health even as thy soul(mind, willand emotions)prospers.HELLO,the world prospers, but Gods people should not.I think not, arguing isstupid, especially with those that are biblically illiterate, why bother, its not a fair fight, leave the judging up to God,he is well able to sort through all these folks, and deceide whats what..we must all study to show ourselves approved, and finally there was only one who is perfect...........
